Quick update…
The sun is out and all of the customer cup teams are completely relaxed today (except me). The meal last night up at St Georges castle was lovely.

Cosy St. Georges restuarant in a cave
It was quite a hike up the hill but once there we had cocktails over- looking Lisbon and a really good chance for everyone to wind down. Actually I think everyone was very tired after using up so much their nervous energy.
Today’s agenda is very gentle. We had a 10:30 AM meeting scheduled with Graham Boffey (Corporate and Consumer Director, Aviva UK Life) one of the judges- to give us feedback and to ensure that we take the initiative forward. Then at 4PM we have a meeting with a certain Andrew Moss – we will be showing him the video clip to Dato’ Sri Nazir which I am sure will delight him.

Happy campers enjoying the view of Lisbon
Then at 7:30 we are meeting for pre-dinner cocktails on the Loggia Terrace followed by the Gala dinner at 8:30 and then the small matter of the awards ceremony. I said that I am the only one not relaxed – believe me – that has nothing to do with the dinner or awards. We have done 100% of what was possible – and we did see some other incredible projects – so what will be will be now.
It is the pre dinner drinks that are worrying me a bit. Thanks to Intan and Zubir I will be regaled in full Baju Melayu complete with Sampin and my Songkok. Again – team infinity is going to be colourful and vibrant and stand out from the rest! It is very comfortable and nice colour but I suspect it is going to turn a few heads. That I can deal with – what I can’t sort out is how to keep the Sampin up. The others have all gone to lunch and I thought I’d stay back and try to sort it out – it is not easy! I think you need to be a specialist at Origami to keep this think up (frustrating ;-( .. so I thought I’d add a blog entry instead).
So feedback from Graham. I know Graham slightly from previous work – and I know him to be a hard man to please. His feedback was that the energy of the performance was excellent, it was clearly well rehearsed and had great comic value – but that we used the ingredients well to get across the serious message – he said this was the unanimous view of the judges. We know there’s some other great projects out there but it was great to hear what we planned to do 6 weeks ago was received as it should be.
It was a fun meeting (with a serious side – as he need to know what we’re going to do to move this forward) and a couple of quotes of Grahams:
“Yati, the force is definitely strong with you – superb presence on the stage”
To Yati – “Don’t hit me – I believe you”
“One of the questions on the judges room was ‘what drugs are they on?’ ”
“Malaysia is definitely here!”
And here’s the one he started off with:
“From the moment you took the stage we were transfixed – It made me proud to work for Aviva” – can you believe that!
So good feedback and fun – bit of Origami and blogging – throw in some sunshine and I’m feeling pretty good about meeting Andrew this PM.
Mike will also be adding some photo’s later – they are having a well earned day winding down.
Hope you’re all having a great day too …
Some final photos from me ….

Mike - can't we just saw it off now so you have time to recover before tomorrow? Ok!

Ok - let's get ready to rock 'n roll

Some final technical words from the production crew...

Not long to go. Serious faces all round. We have just seen the jaw droppingly good production of Ears of RAC

Ivy, the post is by Andy not Michael. LOL. Andy’s the Pahlawan Melayu remember?
That statement from the judges; “what drugs are they on?” was absolutely priceless!!! I think I’m going to have stitches if I read any more

Finally Mike… some photogs and word from Infinity on their activities… If only there could be a full time reporter cum photographer and an experienced blogger at hand.
Note to Yati : The force is strong with her. She ain’t known as the Captain for nothing.
Intan (in the photo) : That’s the spirit ole gal!
Manic Mike (in the photo) : Is that resting after a long hard day or worrying over your origami sampin? Mike, it is all in the folding. Its no origami
(p/s: for better control, wear a belt underneath the pleat. Zubir should be a pro at this.
